Pactool is a division of General Tools specializing in Roofing and Siding power tools and equipment. They also produce stand alone, powered shearing tools.

Our task was to transfer the Snapper Shear technology to a smaller package that will adapt to any 18 volt cordless drill. The idea was to develop a slim yet rugged design. This helps with line of sight and overall durability and longevity of the product. We incorporated a dual position, removable, handle. This allows the user the option to use whichever dominate hand to achieve a comfortable experience.

The blade needed to shear through Hardiebacker® cleaner and faster, in any shape. With this innovated design, we were able to shear the Hardiebacker® with 99% less dust than the competition; this lets the consumer shear practically anywhere.

Gyre9 was also tasked to design and develop a package that not only securely protects the product but enhances the user experience (UX) when unboxing.
